Hello,
Post by Ryan Ollos
Trac 1.2 is now available.
Congrats to Ryan and the rest of the "active" team ;-)

I think now would also be a good time to release 1.3.1 from trunk, so
that we have a good "pre-Jinja2" state, more or less functionally
equivalent to 1.2, but on a cleaned-up code base (the huge list of
backward compatibility removal done in #11901 and related).

After that, I would propose to work on merging the jinja2 branch on
trunk. The status of that branch as described in the proposal page [1]
is still current.

Actually, I was wondering if it wouldn't be a good idea to get
myself reacquainted with the release process, so that I could help
produce more frequent preview releases on the 1.3.x branch. I could
start with 1.3.1 itself if it's not already in the works.

Sounds great. Unless anyone else has objections, I'd say go ahead with the
1.3.1 release.

We've been fairly consistent with the 2 month schedule for minor releases,
but the major release was way off the 1 year target (1). I favor aiming for
a 1.4 release in mid 2017 (2), and will try to find more time to commit
toward that.
